Scott Jurek

Scott Jurek became a legend by winning California’s Western States 100 a record seven consecutive times (1999-2005), the 135-mile Badwater Ultramarathon (2005-2006) and Colorado’s Hardrock 100 (2007) and also being a key figure in the 2009 New York Times bestseller “Born to Run.” Since moving to Boulder in 2011, Jurek set an Appalachian Trail record in 2015 (2,189 miles in 46 days) and published two best-sellers of his own, “Eat & Run: My Unlikely Journey to Ultramarathon Greatness” (2012) and “North: Finding My Way While Running the Appalachian Trail” (2018).
