Rich Castro

Rich Castro has been a key figure in Boulder running scene since the 1970s. Aside from being a competitive age-group runner for more than 50 years, he also helped start the University of Colorado women’s track and cross country programs, founded the Bolder Road Runners and served as its president for many years, played a role in organizing the first Bolder Boulder 10K, directed the Frank Shorter Racing Team in the 1980s, served as the Bolder Boulder’s elite athlete coordinator for many years, coached numerous elite, citizen and wheelchair runners and competed in numerous road racing and cross country national championships as a member of the Boulder Road Runners.  In December 2018, he helpd the Boulder Road Runners 70+ team finish third at the USATF Club Cross Country National Championships.
