Emma Coburn

A two-time NCAA champion during her standout career at CU, Emma Coburn is a seven-time U.S. champion in the 3,000-meter steeplechase—a 1.86-mile race that entails hurdling over 35 30-inch wooden barriers and seven water pits while running at 4:50 mile pace. She earned the bronze medal in that event at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and won gold at the 2017 IAAF World Championships in London. The 28-year-old will try to repeat her world title at the 2019 World Championships Sept. 27-30 in Doha, Qatar.
